Brooke Langle has more than 15 years of professional experience as a biologist and botanist, working primarily as an environmental consultant throughout the Central Coast of California. Brooke is currently the principal biologist and owner of Terra Verde Environmental Consulting and previously worked across the U.S. on numerous environmental compliance projects and environmental training programs. She received her Bachelor of Science degree in Ecology & Systematic Biology from California Polytechnic State University.
Brooke combines a diverse background of environmental resource management with experience in environmental planning, training, compliance, and resource conservation. She has maintained an active involvement with field biology work, including surveys and monitoring for California red-legged frogs, western spadefoot toad, southern Pacific pond turtle, giant garter snake, Swainson’s hawk, burrowing owl, and numerous sensitive plant species including the federally-protected Pismo clarkia. Brooke has also conducted extensive environmental training, both for specific projects and nationwide for the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission.
Brooke lectures part-time at Cal Poly, serves as President of the Central Coast Chapter of the Wildlife Society, and is a member of the California Native Plant Society and the Association of Environmental Professionals.
Brooke lives in San Luis Obispo with her partner Kristen and their unemployed working dog, Raven. She enjoys hiking, camping, and exploring the local beaches. When not chasing wildlife or traveling, she’s an avid reader and enjoys throwing pots.
