Local People. Local Land. - Case Studies
Reservoir Canyon - Janet AndrewsI still can't believe all the Land Conservancy has done for me. Brian helped me navigate the federal regulation channels, negotiated a conservation easement, and secured funding for a large restoration project.
SLO Greenbelt Protection Program - The MorgridgesThe goal of this project was to expand the City of San Luis Obispo's Greenbelt while working in collaboration with many local agencies and community conservation supporters.
Hidden Springs Farm - Fred & Pat FrankWe worked with the Land Conservancy to protect this property-not just for our family, but also for the community around us. Sure, we could sell our farm and let fate take over. But we've seen the faces of the families who visit. People want to stay connected to the land.
SLO Creek Cleanup - The Finger FamilyThe Land Conservancy is a special organization. It's full of real people who enjoy working hard to benefit us all. What a great example for our children-and our whole community.
Growing Grounds Farm - Megan HallThe collaboration between the Land Conservancy and Transitions-Mental Health Association brings something special to clients with sometimes limited opportunities to contribute to their community.
Cambria Community Preserve - Alese & Bob BellToday, we have a gathering spot for both people and wildlife. The deer and wild turkeys enjoy it as much as the passersby. It's so beautiful. It really fills your heart. It wouldn't have happened without the Land Conservancy.
The Octagon Barn - Long Term ProjectAfter 12 years and thousand of volunteer hours the Historic Octagon Barn restoration is nearly complete. Built around 1900 this unique piece of history and architecture was almost lost. In 1996 The Land Conservancy acquired the barn and began the task of stabilization and then restoration. |
