The Land Conservancy is pleased to offer a variety of ways to celebrate, honor or memorialize a loved one while contributing to local conservation. Your considerate gift is greatly appreciated and makes local conservation possible.
Gift Memberships
Give the gift of conservation for a birthday, holiday, wedding or other special occasion! Simply fill out the donation form with your own information, and include your gift recipient’s name, email and mailing address in the comment section. They will receive an informational packet informing them of your gift (but not the exact donation amount) and their new membership benefits! Honorary or Memorial Tributes
Honorary or memorial donations may be made through the donation form by selecting “This donation is In Honor or In Memory,” and including the honoree or remembered person’s name. All honorary and memorial tributes are included in our Annual Report released each spring.
Establish a legacy of conservation for a loved one by requesting memorial gifts in lieu of flowers. Simply include our donation form link in your memorial program or loved one’s obituary, with instructions to include the loved one’s name in the “In Memory” field. For a list of donors who have contributed to a memorial, email jamiec@lcslo.org.
On-Site Recognition: Benches, Tables, and Plaques
To honor a loved one at one of our conserved properties, we have various levels of permanent recognition available at the Pismo Preserve, The Octagon Barn, and Kathleen’s Canyon Overlook.
Pismo Preserve Wall of Trailblazers: For gifts of $1000 to the Pismo Preserve, you can receive a leaf on the Pismo Preserve’s donor wall recognizing yourself, a loved one, your business or a group.
